Basil's in Dusseldorf

We visited the store for a business lunch on an autumn Monday. Starters and the main course, a recommendation from the personable young waiter, were delicious and plentiful. The red wine recommended for this, Amethystos, harmonized perfectly. Nice atmosphere, great and well-cared for service, I can only recommend the shop!

Employees had little knowledge of their job (or wine)

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf. From welcoming the owner to saying goodbye, everything was great. Food super delicious. Service very friendly and brisk. Live music and a great atmosphere at the weekend. We'll come back again and again and again! :-)

Always well eaten here, but apparently the owner Corona cannot accept it. Or he thought the last night I was open that I wanted maximum sales. The stops of the girls who were responsible for the service did not wear their masks correctly or wore masks that were not allowed The shop is jam-packed, guests wait inside for a table without a mask. The main thing is to be seen. Most of the women, schickii micki, went to the toilet without a mask. It's a shame that the highest hygiene standards are not observed here. Actually awesome place. Although we spoke to the service staff. Mask not put on properly and greets almost every guest with a hug and serves without a minimum distance. What a pity. I really enjoy being here

Due to the fact that we were at the beginning of the week on Monday, you can't write much about the restaurant, but one thing is for sure. The food was very tasty.

As always good. The food is great, the kitchen, the service, the guests ... Everything fits. I love going there.

Live music ! The best decision ever to come here!

Was here for the first time. Food is excellent. Prices reasonable. Staff very friendly. The boss is a nice guy. But there is one point (the sanitary facilities) that could smell a little better. (Fragrance stones or room freshener) Otherwise everything was great.

The portions are large and the taste is really good. The service is very attentive eventhough the restaurant is super crowded with high sound. Best meal we have had in Dusseldorf. Michael and.Pia

Great ambience! Service also very helpful and well informed about the different wine offers. Have been here several times with friends ... can only recommend it ... on a Saturday evening there is nothing better for me than to eat with friends or family at Basils. The restaurant owner likes to chat with the guests and makes a very nice impression. The service is always in a good mood and polite! We will be back!

Unfortunately just bad! Unproblematic and friendly reservation, but then the good service ended! I don't even want to address the fact that the nice waitress couldn't give any information about the wine list. You might not need to be a sommelier for wines with a price range between € 25-30 per bottle. But if the main course comes before the starter and the drinks, it's not that good. But that can also happen, you just have to address it as a waiter with humor and friendliness. Then came the starter, still before drinks. And then the main course again. In response to my objection that the meal came too early, the waiter replied: “What should I do now? Do you really want me to throw the food away now? ”What a shame, I enjoyed being a guest in the shop for many years, both during lunch breaks and in the evening. Unfortunately it's over now ...

Nice place with good service. Unfortunately the grill plate was out, but the steak was okay. We are well fed. Alt, Kölsch, wheat on tap!

Perfect food nad service!

I liked the starters. The main course has few choices. The waitress was helpful.

The food tasted really good. The atmosphere in the shop is fun and the live music is very entertaining. However, from then on it gets very loud, so that a conversation while eating is unfortunately hardly possible.

The fish soup is excellent if you ask for a dash of lime. Unbeatably priced and rich. They can also cook meat very well, be it lamb or steak. The homemade bread is delicious and you get plenty of it. Absolute recommendation on my part!

Nice place to eat and gather with family or friends or even colleagues. Worm place, in which they offer live music too. Nice dishes, and nice service. Fresh main dishes. Good tuna fish fillet. Nice spaghetti with truffle. Perfect salmon fillets. In general fast service, and good communication. Would go again. This place was full with clients who seems to be regulars. ?

Good choice

Went here for lunch with some colleagues, ordered pasta with salmon. That was just a huge pile of penne in 1l of oil and too much low-quality salmon. Service a bit slow given that not that many people were here, and prices a bit high. Pizza apparently was ok, but not great.

Food was reasonably acceptable,?the service was very poor, it took them close to 2 hours to serve us. I will not recommend this restaurant to others.

Upscale, cosy-pretending - in fact the same as others. Nice, with skilled personnel but a bit loud and cramped. Still, the food was ok and wine too. There is no parking, so you will have to park on the street (beware). Sometimes there is live music.

Very nice atmosphere, delicious dishes and friendly staff. The salmon salad was great, as were the rest of the food. Big praise to the singer of the live music, really a very nice voice. Come again

Food was superb, octopus and prawns, what can be better. Downside - why have live music in a restaurant on a Saturday night? Not needed. Was difficult to attract attention of waiting staff .....

Table reserved for two persons from 18:00. Were placed at the entrance and then asked for a transfer, as it was cool and uncomfortable at the entrance at the time. As long as we are finished by 19:00, the implementation is not a problem we were told despite reservation. You could have received a note at the time of the reservation, because of "Do not come until 19:00 o'clock." Barely put into practice, smells of cigarettes are received, as the kitchen crew and service staff did not seem to be on duty yet. You can still smoke outside the door, I think, there is a corresponding law. Personally, I was already there to go, but I wanted to give it a chance, because I just know it differently at Basil's. The service was good, the food, drinks and ambience then towards the end. You can already recommend Basil's, you should think about whether you later, or exclusively at lunchtime. The deductions are due to the cigarette smoke and the bumpy start. Personally, I would spend my money in another restaurant in the evening and try Basil's lunch again.

Wow. The overall experience here was phenomenal! Our waiter Alexander was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. The food was cooked perfectly and had the right amount of flavor. Homemade tiramisu was also delicious. We even had the pleasure of speaking with the owner which I think always gives a great touch to any experience. Defintely recommend this place for dinner.
